TIPS

Idea for Travelling
by: Yenny Gunawan

The crocheters and knitters sometime do their craft while traveling. To keep the yarn-ball in a 'secure' place, put the ball inside a modified empty plastic water bottle to prevent the ball from rolling around.

*This idea was inspired by my Korean friends during my stay in Beijing-China

Clean an empty plastic water bottle.

Cut the bottle into 3 parts. Better to find the 'waists' as the points to cut. Here I picked the cutting point at 12 cm away from the bottom and at 9 cm away from the top.

Throw away the un-used middle part.

You can now slide the top part to the bottom part to make a close container.

Put the yarn-ball inside. Pull the yarn-end through the hole at the top part. It is best to pull the yarn-end from the inside of yarn-ball rather than from the outer side. Now you are ready to knit/crochet comfortably
while traveling.

Better still, you can use it as a simple container, too ;)

Or just use a used-coffee-cup ;)
